The early stages of colon cancer show little to no symptoms – it is imperative to know your family history and listen to your body
Symptoms of Colon Cancer:
- Changes in your bowel habits
- Changes in stool consistency
- Blood in stood
- Rectal bleeding
- Abdominal discomfort – cramps and bloating
- Narrow, black stools
- Anemia or fatigue
- Excessive gas
- Weight loss without trying
Colon cancer is the 3rd most common cancer diagnosis (Following breast and lung) and the 3rd leading cause of cancer death. Because of this, the new initial screening age is 45 year of age.
Those born in the 1990’s has 2x higher risk of colon cancer than those born in the 1950’s. It is no longer an old person cancer
